No Place Too Far.

There is nothing ordinary about someone who hucks himself off a windswept cornice, braves high altitudes and freezing conditions or climbs to dizzying heights on a sheer wall of granite.

And there is absolutely nothing ordinary about the boots that help take you to those far away places. SCARPA. A worldwide leader in outdoor footwear, SCARPA uses advanced research and technology to help you take the next step. From telemark skiing, alpine touring, mountaineering, backpacking, hiking, alpine cross, climbing and approach shoes, you’ll find a SCARPA boot with precision fit for your adventure. FOR LIVES LESS ORDINARY.

Eric DeCaria

I started climbing in the early 90's near my hometown of Ogden, Utah. Soon after graduating high school I moved to Moab, Utah, to work as a guide and climb full-time. I spent much of my time there climbing with great friends and developing areas such as Mill Creek, The Horn, and others.  Jimmy Dunn, Tom Gilgi, Dan Osman, Noah Bigwood, and Jonathan Knight were not only some of my partners but also my mentors. They taught me that style matters, routes should be natural, bolts should be placed on lead, and the bolder the better.

Over the past 17 years I've climbed in many great places from Ceuse, France to the Trango Valley of Pakistan. I love it all: boulders, rocks, big walls, ice and mixed.  Favorite routes include:
Tiki Man Mill Creek, Ut
Must'a Been High Eldo. Co
Pyromania Needles, Ca
Super Cat Of The Karakorum, Trango, Pakistan
Humble Pie Indian Creek, Ut

Currently living in boulder co-working as a carpenter.
Looking forward to my trip to the Kedar Dome in the Garwal in India this fall.
